The Arenal Volcano National Park is home to the Arenal Volcano and presents a popular tourist attraction for its breathtaking view. The Arenal Volcano is one of the most well-known volcanoes in Costa Rica. It is located in the province of Alajuela and is part of the Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain range. The volcano is around 7,000 years old and has an elevation of 5,358 feet. The volcano is prominent because it was considered Costa Rica’s most active volcano. The volcano is still considered active, but the most recent eruption was in 2010. In 1968, the volcano erupted and destroyed several surrounding towns and villages. A variety of animals live in the park, ranging from birds, insects, and monkeys, and there is lots of vegetation that inhabit the area. There are many bodies of water in the park and surrounding the volcano, some of which are natural hot springs that can be enjoyed. This is due to heat produced by the volcano. All in all, the Arenal Volcano National Park offers a fascinating experience and scenery for all guests to explore.
